Introduction

Welcome to SeyCareers. These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the SeyCareers platform, including our website, mobile-friendly services and all related features made available to jobseekers, employers and visitors.

By creating an account or otherwise using the platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to any part of these Terms, you must not access or use SeyCareers. You are also responsible for using the platform in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations.

Definitions

In these Terms, the following words carry the meanings set out below:

• SeyCareers means the operator of the platform.
• Platform means the SeyCareers website, applications and related services.
• User means any individual or organisation accessing or using the platform.
• Jobseeker means a User seeking employment opportunities through the platform.
• Employer means a User, organisation or authorised recruiter posting job posts or reviewing jobseekers.
• Content means profiles, CVs, cover letters, job posts, company information, images, messages and any other material submitted to the platform.

Eligibility

To use SeyCareers, you must:

• be at least 18 years of age
• provide accurate and complete registration information
  
• keep your account information up to date
• where a User registers or acts on behalf of an organisation, that User confirms that they have authority to represent and bind that organisation in connection with the platform
• use the platform only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.

User Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. SeyCareers is not liable for any loss arising from unauthorised use of your account.

If you believe your account has been compromised, you should change your password immediately and notify SeyCareers so appropriate action can be taken.

Jobseeker Responsibilities

As a jobseeker, you agree to:

• provide truthful, accurate and current information in your profile and applications
• maintain an up-to-date professional profile
• upload only documents that you own or are authorised to use
• apply only for genuine employment opportunities in good faith
• refrain from impersonating another individual or entity.

Employer Responsibilities

As an employer, you agree to:

• publish accurate, lawful and non-misleading job advertisements
• maintain accurate company information
• communicate with jobseekers professionally and respectfully
• use applicant and jobseeker information only for lawful and legitimate recruitment-related purposes
• comply with applicable data protection, employment, labour, anti-discrimination and other applicable laws
• maintain appropriate safeguards for personal information received through the platform
• not sell, unlawfully disclose or misuse applicant information obtained through SeyCareers
• not use the platform to discriminate unlawfully or facilitate unlawful employment practices.

Profile & Content Review

Before you can log in and use the platform, your account must be reviewed and approved by SeyCareers. An account that is pending review, has been rejected or has been suspended cannot be used to log in.

Certain information submitted to SeyCareers may require review before it becomes publicly visible or available for recruitment purposes. This may include:

• professional profiles
• CVs
• profile photographs
• qualifications and work experience
• company information
• other submitted content.

While updated information is under review, previously approved information may remain visible on the platform.

SeyCareers does not guarantee that any submitted information will be approved, published or made available through the platform.

Accuracy of Information

Users are solely responsible for ensuring that all information submitted to the platform is accurate, complete and kept up to date.

SeyCareers does not independently verify qualifications, employment history, licences, certifications, references or company claims unless expressly stated otherwise.

Users are responsible for conducting their own appropriate verification and due diligence before relying on information provided by another User.

Job Posts & Applications

Employers are solely responsible for the content of their job advertisements, including job descriptions, requirements, salary information and application deadlines.

Submitting an application through SeyCareers does not guarantee an interview, employment offer or response from an employer.

SeyCareers does not act as the employer, recruitment decision-maker or representative of an Employer.

Messaging

Users must use the platform's messaging features professionally and respectfully. Users must not:

• send unsolicited or spam messages
• harass, threaten or abuse other users
• send fraudulent or misleading communications
• distribute malicious software or harmful links
• use messaging to advertise unrelated products or services
• request, disclose or distribute unlawful or inappropriate personal information, financial information, password, authentication credentials or other confidential information.

Subscriptions & Payments

Posting jobs and maintaining a company profile are free. Certain other employer features, such as applications, interviews, jobseeker profiles, CVs and messaging, require an active SeyCareers subscription. Subscription pricing and included features are shown on the Plans & Pricing page and on your subscription request at the time you subscribe.

Subscriptions are paid by bank transfer, are prepaid and non-transferable, and become active once SeyCareers has confirmed your payment. A subscription starts when SeyCareers activates it and expires at the end of the period paid for. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law or expressly stated in the applicable Refund Policy.

SeyCareers may change pricing, subscriptions or features for future payments. Any changes will not affect a subscription already paid for except where otherwise permitted by the applicable terms.

Subscriptions do not renew automatically.

Intellectual Property

All SeyCareers branding, software, graphics, design elements and original platform content remain the property of SeyCareers and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

Users retain ownership of Content they submit. By submitting Content to SeyCareers, you grant SeyCareers a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, display, transmit, format and otherwise process that Content to the extent reasonably necessary to operate, maintain, provide, secure and improve the platform and provide its services.

You represent and warrant that you have the rights and permissions necessary to submit the Content and grant the licence described above.

Prohibited Activities

When using SeyCareers, you must not:

• provide false, misleading or fraudulent information
• impersonate another person or entity
• attempt to gain unauthorised access to accounts, systems or data
• upload viruses, malware or other malicious software
• scrape, harvest or extract platform data without permission
• interfere with or compromise platform security
• use automated tools or bots without prior written permission
• use the platform to discriminate unlawfully against jobseekers or applicants
• post fake, fraudulent or misleading job opportunities
• collect or use jobseeker information for purposes unrelated to legitimate recruitment
• use information obtained through the platform to contact, target or solicit individuals for unrelated commercial purposes without appropriate authority
• create accounts for the purpose of circumventing a suspension or restriction
• upload or submit Content that infringes another person's intellectual property, privacy or other rights.

Suspension & Termination

SeyCareers may suspend or terminate any account, with or without notice, where a User breaches these Terms, misuses the platform or engages in conduct that compromises platform security or the experience of other users.

Platform Availability

SeyCareers aims to provide a reliable and continuously available service but does not guarantee uninterrupted access. Scheduled maintenance, technical issues or events beyond our reasonable control may occasionally affect availability.

Third-Party Services

Third-party websites and services may be subject to their own terms and privacy policies. SeyCareers does not control third-party services and, to the maximum extent permitted by law, is not responsible for their availability, content, accuracy, security practices or acts or omissions.

Disclaimer

SeyCareers provides the platform on an "as available" basis. We do not guarantee employment outcomes, successful recruitment, interview opportunities or the suitability of any jobseeker or vacancy.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SeyCareers shall not be liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, recruitment decisions, employment outcomes or the accuracy of information submitted by users of the platform.

Privacy

The collection, use and processing of personal information on the platform is governed by the SeyCareers Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

Changes to Terms

SeyCareers may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes to the platform or applicable requirements. Continued use of the platform following any such changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Seychelles, without regard to conflict of law principles, unless otherwise required by applicable law.
