Our Commitment

SeyCareers is used by a wide range of jobseekers and employers and we want the platform to be as easy to use as possible for everyone. We aim to design and build SeyCareers with accessibility in mind and to keep improving it over time.

This statement describes our current approach. It is not a certification of compliance with any specific accessibility standard.

Accessibility Goals

We aim for SeyCareers to be readable, navigable and usable across a range of devices, screen sizes and assistive technologies. This includes working towards clear page structure, sensible reading order and interface elements that behave predictably.

Supported Browsers and Devices

SeyCareers is built as a responsive web application and is designed to work in current, up-to-date versions of major browsers. We recommend using a recently updated browser for the best experience, as older or unsupported browsers may not display the platform correctly.

Keyboard Navigation

Many parts of SeyCareers, including links, buttons and form fields, are built using standard HTML elements that support keyboard interaction and visible focus states. We continually work to improve keyboard navigation across the platform, particularly for more interactive areas such as menus and dialogs.

Colour and Contrast

We use a consistent colour palette and typography system across SeyCareers, with the aim of keeping text and interface elements clearly legible. We continually review our use of colour and contrast as the platform evolves.

Images and Alternative Text

We aim to provide descriptive alternative text for meaningful images, such as profile photos and company logos, so their purpose can be understood by screen readers. Some images across the platform may not yet have alternative text and improving this is an ongoing effort.

Forms and User Input

Forms across SeyCareers, such as registration, profile editing, job applications and messaging, use labelled fields and provide validation feedback when information is missing or incorrect. We aim to make error messages clear and to associate them with the relevant field wherever possible.

Responsive Design

SeyCareers is built with a responsive layout that adapts to desktop, tablet and mobile screen sizes, so the platform can be used comfortably across a range of devices.

Known Limitations

SeyCareers has not yet undergone a formal accessibility audit and we know that not every part of the platform currently meets the same standard of accessibility. Some interactive components, such as dropdown menus and dialogs, may not yet be fully optimised for assistive technologies. If you experience difficulty using any part of SeyCareers, please let us know so we can look into it.

Third-Party Content

Some content on SeyCareers, such as company information, job descriptions and CVs, is submitted by employers and jobseekers rather than created by us. We cannot guarantee the accessibility of content supplied by users of the platform, although we may take reasonable steps to address accessibility issues brought to our attention where appropriate.

Ongoing Improvements

Accessibility is an ongoing process rather than a one-time task. We continually work to improve the usability of SeyCareers as the platform grows and we welcome feedback that helps us identify where to focus that effort.

Reporting Accessibility Issues

If you experience difficulty accessing or using any part of SeyCareers, please contact us with details of the issue, including the page you were on and the device or browser you were using. This helps us understand and address the problem.

Changes to this Statement

We may update this Accessibility Statement from time to time as SeyCareers evolves and as our approach to accessibility develops. The updated statement will be published on the platform with the applicable effective date.

Questions About This Document?

We welcome feedback from users with accessibility needs. We do not require a particular format for reporting an accessibility issue and will consider reasonable requests for assistance in accessing information or using the Platform.
