What the SeyCareers app is

You can add SeyCareers to your phone, tablet or computer and open it like an app. It has its own icon, opens in its own window and does not need an app store. It is the same SeyCareers you use in your browser, with the same account.

Install on Android, or on a computer with Chrome or Edge

From your second visit, a card called "Install SeyCareers" may appear. Tap Install, then confirm in the box your browser shows. If you tap "Not now", we will not ask again for 30 days.

Install on an iPhone or iPad

Apple only allows installing from Safari:

  1. In Safari, tap Share.
  2. Choose Add to Home Screen.
  3. Tap Add.
  4. Open SeyCareers from its new icon and sign in.

Staying signed in

The installed app keeps you signed in, so you keep receiving notifications. If you sign out, you will need to sign in again.

Turn on notifications

Notifications are off until you turn them on. In the installed app, a card called "Stay in the loop" offers a Turn on notifications button. Tap it and allow notifications when your phone asks. You can also go to Account Settings > Notifications and choose Turn on notifications, then Send me a test to check that it works.

On an iPhone or iPad, notifications work only once SeyCareers is on your Home Screen.

What you are notified about

Jobseekers:

  • new jobs that match your profile
  • updates to your applications and offers
  • interview invitations, changes and reminders
  • new messages

Employers:

  • new applications and offer responses
  • interview reminders and cancellations
  • new messages

Daily job matches

If you have set your job preferences, we send at most one notification a day, for example "3 new jobs match your profile". The number is the same as the one you will see on your Recommended Jobs page. If no new jobs match, we send nothing.

Turning notifications off

Go to Account Settings > Notifications and choose Turn off on this device. Notifications are set for each device, so turn them on or off on each phone or computer you use.

If something is not working

  • If notifications are blocked, allow them for SeyCareers in your browser or phone settings, then reload the Notifications page.
  • If your browser cannot show notifications, try Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari, or install SeyCareers from your phone's browser.
  • If you have no signal, the app shows a page telling you that you are offline. Open it again when you are back online.
