How SeyCareers Works
How Review Works
Last Updated: September 2026
Why does SeyCareers review changes?
To help maintain the quality and integrity of information on the platform, SeyCareers reviews certain changes before they go live, including new accounts, profile updates, job listings and company details. This helps identify and prevent content that is inappropriate or otherwise inconsistent with our platform requirements from being published.
What happens while something is pending review?
If you've submitted a change that requires review, it's marked as "Pending Review" until SeyCareers has looked at it. Your previously approved information stays visible in the meantime. Submitting an update never blanks out or hides what was there before and a new profile simply isn't visible to others until it's approved.
How long does review take?
Review times vary depending on volume, but most submissions are reviewed promptly. You'll receive a notification once a decision has been made.
What can happen to a submission?
SeyCareers can approve a submission (it goes live as submitted), reject it (it doesn't go live and you'll usually be told why) or ask for changes before it can be approved. Either way, you're notified of the outcome.
What's reviewed and what isn't?
Broadly, anything that becomes visible to other users on the platform such as a new account, most profile and company information, an uploaded CV, added custom skills, work experience or qualifications and job listings (both new listings and changes to a listing that's already published) goes through this review process. Actions that don't publish anything new for others to see, such as applying for a job, messaging, withdrawing an application, closing a job or deleting something you've already added, take effect immediately and aren't reviewed.
The specific articles for each part of your profile or company explain exactly what's reviewed there.
